At Nebo State School, we know that success looks different for every child, and we love taking the time to recognise those special moments along the way. Throughout the year, we celebrate our students through PBL Nebo Notes, Student of the Week Award, Acknowledgement Ticket and Principal Award. Whether it is showing kindness to a friend, making positive choices, giving something a go, or achieving a personal goal, these moments deserve to be celebrated. We are incredibly proud of the effort, growth and achievements of all our students. After all, it is often the little successes along the way that make the biggest difference.
At our annual Christmas Concert and Awards Night, we celebrate not only academic achievement and sporting excellence, but also the values, character and positive contributions that make our school community so special.

Each class recognises students who are exemplary role models of our four school expectations: Be safe, be respectful, be responsible and be a learner.
Special Year 6 awards
Academic Dux Award
The Dux Award recognises outstanding academic achievement across all learning areas, with particular emphasis on English and Mathematics. It celebrates a student who has demonstrated consistently high academic results, dedication, persistence and a strong commitment to learning throughout the year.
Sports Award
This award recognises a student who has demonstrated outstanding sporting achievement and represented our school with pride. Consideration is given to sporting representation at district, regional and state levels, along with leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship and respect for others. This award celebrates both sporting ability and the character demonstrated on and off the field.
Adopt a Cop Award
The Adopt a Cop Award recognises a student who demonstrates strong personal values and makes a positive contribution to our school community. This student consistently displays honesty, integrity, responsibility, initiative and teamwork. They lead by example, support others and make positive choices.
Jean Perry Citizenship Award
The Jean Perry Award is one of our school’s most special awards, presented to a Year 6 student who embodies strong community values and spirit.
This student takes pride in themselves and their school, demonstrates genuine respect and concern for others, and strives to achieve their personal best in both academic and sporting pursuits. They display good sportsmanship, act responsibly and make a positive contribution to our community, both inside and outside the school gates.
The Jean Perry Award celebrates the qualities of a caring, respectful and responsible young citizen.
